Get to know me
Hey! This is
Yogananda
Engineer by day, photographer the rest of the time. Left brain, right brain, both fully committed.
Why I do this
Photography started as a way to hold onto things. People change, days end, kids get bigger overnight — and I hated how fast all of it moved. So I picked up a camera.
Now I get to freeze the in-between moments, the ones that aren't posed but somehow say the most. When you look back at these photos in ten years, I want you to feel that day again, not just see it.
How I work
Honestly, the best photos happen when no one's trying. So that's what I build my whole process around. Before the shoot, I learn what you care about. During it, I stay light on my feet and let the day unfold — I'm watching for the in-between moments more than the posed ones.
After, I sit with every image and edit by hand until it feels right. You stay in the moment. I'll make sure none of it gets lost.
A few things about me
The engineering side makes me obsessive about details, so every frame in your gallery gets that care. Michigan-based but happy to travel for the right shoot. And you won't catch me saying "say cheese" — I'd rather catch you mid-laugh than mid-pose.
What that looks like
Four things I promise
No stiff posing
Direction when you need it, silence when you don't. Mostly I'm just watching for the real thing to happen.
Hand-edited frames
Every image gets edited individually. No batch presets dumped over your whole gallery.
You'll hear back
Questions answered quickly, before and after the shoot. No chasing me for your photos.
Yours to keep
